BP Ritchie,

<Most often heard negative has been lack of trust in Corel's management ... maybe that perception will change in the next month or so?>

Can you offer any idea what might cause such a change in perception? This is not at "wise-guy" question. I'd really like to know. It is my impression that

1) Several top executives left Corel, or stated their intention to leave, including the person credited with turning Corel around financially, and a large part of the sales/marketing staff resigned or was fired. In short, there is turmoil at the top of the company.

2) The person entrusted with our investment dollars is under investigation for allegedly taking advantage of his management position to protect his personal financial interests.

3) The company "warned" that it will not be profitable, and turned around and bragged about being profitable because of an unanticipated "windfall". (If they were able to "warn", they should have been able to update their "warning" when the "unanticipated" information became available.) These activities have the odor of cynical manipulation.

I, for one, do not trust Corel's management ... and that's a shame, because it seems to me that they are well-positioned to capitalize on the Linux movement. The rejection by the financial markets suggests that I may not be alone in my view.

Is there any possibility that this will change. I'd love to know how and why. I've sold off a large portion of my holding in CORL. Now, I'm thinking about what I should do with the rest.
