Hello Dave,

Like you I have long, medium, and short holding of IBM. On the short end Trade it regularly, with two points. My medium
term is 125, 128, and 140! I am not too smart, but my gut feeling tells me that we will see 124 to 125 sooner than
you think! You may not have two wait a few months for that!
Good luck

Yaacov

Question to the thread in general:
Let's say all this talk about a slow, very slow rampup of Windows 2000 is true; what effect will it have on key parts of IBM like the services business and the hardware server business excluding 390 and AS/400 servers?

Regards,

Don

Dave, if I only knew!

However, I am still sticking with my original prediction in my post of early last December which read:

"So, what will this do to the stock price? I think, in my not so humble opinion, that IBM will move sideways for the next 6 months. The top at 130, and a bottom of 105. Any price under 100 is a steal. I will watch the 2nd Qtr of 2000. If it looks "OK" or better, I think the second half of 2000 will be great The Qtr to Qtr comparisons will be great and push the stock to a new high. My guess? 160 by Xmass next year."

Lots of good discussion on the thread all of a sudden, but I am too tired to comment. Just finished responding to an "RFP from Hell" for a large SAP infrastructure bid tonight and am heading for a cold beer and an early bedtime. The winning HW vendors will be either IBM, Sun, or Dell (Ya, Ya...you tell the client you should not implement large ERP systems on NT). HP bidding, but not a contender. Don't understand why their stock is doing so well...IBM and Sun both seem to be kicking their butt. Oh well, what do I know.

Market looks like we will have a wild ride over the next few months! Guess right and you will make a bundle! Guess wrong and...{:o( Be careful out there!
