EP, I am afraid you are the one out of touch. AMD is no fantasy...it really is happening; that's why the stock price has more than doubled in the past few months.

The fantasy is that Intel shortly will retake its rightful place in the chip universe. That's what you are holding onto with dear life. And I suspect you will be sorely disappointed.

Poor Elmer. The fact is that if Intel demonstrates a 1.3 GHz "mutant lab Coppermine" (TM Dan3), it is an Intel fantasy, not an AMD fantasy. It will remain an Intel fantasy until we see more than one 800 MHz Flopper on Pricewatch, and until webexchange.necx.com shows liquid trading in something higher than the 667 Mhz Flopper.
