Re: When are we ever going to see SMP from the "superior" EV6 port/bus architecture? AMD has never developed a SMP capable chipset 1. One of the benefits of going with EV6 was that AMD wouldn't have to develop their own high end chipset. 2. At this time, AMD isn't losing many sales at the multiprocessor level. (They're just now breaking into upper end single processor systems sales) 3. Having said that, I agree and reiterate the question - where is it? MPU chipsets were supposed to be automatic with EV6.
