Re Dellshopper:
A new growth area for Dell, applying their several year lead time in designing and operating Web sites that actually work,as they say, "first time out of the box". (hehe)
Expand this Dell effort to Brazil just now getting excited about web technology and whadawegot.?? I won't mention China as Kemble
gets so excited. Dell can be technology's Walmart of the World.
Dell has multiple similar areas, like Gigabuys, re-sellers of Hp printers, digital cameras, software, that can grow at multiples of the market segments and we know thats what they try to do.
Nobody yet knows the size these markets, with on line sales for last year varying in estimates from $3 bil to $8 bil or more.( that must exclude Dell, because their run rate alone is now $14 bil/year).
Dell's present estimated growth rate of mid 30's is merely a base,
not a limit. When Dell steps 'outside the box' as they are now doing,
then higher rates are possible, although today these comprise a proportionally small but fast growing area whose added value
gets lost in the summation of income.

securities discussed. This is not an offer to buy or sell)

JD -
Now THAT's neat - if DELL can really apply their own expertise to solving the riddle of getting an e-business set up for small businesses, they will generate a lot of interest. I can't tell you how many small companies have told me they want to get to e-business but just have no idea where to start.
