I know of other folks who have had opening woes in the past....
Heck.... I used to give them crap in here and in person when they where at Embarcadero FOUR in Palo Alto.

funny thing is...... I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU OPENED AN ACCOUNT !
but then again, that's just my opinion.............

I have accounts in E*Trade DATEK and Waterhouse...... all of them have had woes in some form or another BUT I do not expect ONE to satisfy my trading/investing needs yet. Maybe in the near future Online trading will be so that I would only need one account......

btw........... I just read this post,
" Schwab having problems today I see, website down and when you call them up a recording says that the markets are closed for Marting Luther King's birthday. Unf*cking believable."

indeed, indeed.
one has to wonder how the other 2 million etrade account holders were ever able to open their accounts, with such tremendous account opening woes you mention

___
"Week3 of the EGRP account opening woes. I called EGRP today asking about the status. They still can't figure it out. Funny thing was, the check was most definitely cashed, but they can't seem to find the paperwork that opened the account.

USMA, I was already a customer, my e-mails were responded to but never with any help, they just don't get it.

Etrade blew a trade for me and the responses were always that the order was filled, therefore it was a good trade. They can't think beyond the trade that the reason it executed at the wrong quantity was because a change order sat unexecuted for 40 minutes.

It is quite frustrating, but I think your problem is due to volume of new accounts. If they can get it straightened out, I think CC will get 100 M for 2 years instead of just 75 and they can postpone any earnings for another couple years;)
