JDN, when Itaniums aren't running Solaris, maybe they'll give Sun a run for their money with these HP configurations. It's going to be interesting, even Scottie is going to have to admit someday. Unveiling the IA-64 Architecture for System Software Jerry Huck, EPIC project manager and lead architect at HP Labs, together with Rumi Zahir of Intel, will provide the first public details on the IA-64 architecture for system software. Using the IA-64 Linux Kernel David Mosberger of HP Labs, together with VA Linux, will present enhancements needed for the Linux IA-64 kernel.
