Not a bad idea at all. I only have storage capacity for about 15 gallons outside car tanks, but that could keep my wife commuting for a week or two.

I think you are right. We could easily have gas lines in a couple of weeks. If the heating oil people--helped out by that government subsidy--can make $2 a gallon, they'll sell all they can and little gasoline will be refined.

Maybe waiting in gas lines will give some folks less time to buy dot.com stocks on margin. As they say on another thread, ho ho.

JQP, You hit the nail on the head for refiners. Right now they can only pass through about 80% of their actual refining costs to gasoline consumers. So most refiners are throttling back throughput as is possible.....
