Scumbria,

<Sun has one little tiny advantage (the most reliable and trusted operating system and software base in the world.) >

I find this to be one of the very hard to understand things for people bred in the semiconductor/hardware industry. I have seen many doomed processor programs over the years - I find this whole spectre of trying to comeup with new instruction sets somewhat saddening.

Scumbria, <<Sun has one little tiny advantage>>

Just one? Have I missed something important? Have we seen a benchmark for an Itanium running some actual software?
