KyrosL: A potential fly in the ointment is that if the Republicans retain control of the House and Senate, the "blessed gridlock" that has helped to fuel the current (already crippled) leg of the bull market which began after the '94 election, could come to an end. Should that happen, even positive Republican intentions may have unintended consequences, since not even the "all-knowing" Fed Head has a clue as to what's going on in the economy. (Clearly the overwhelming number of clowns in Congress, irrespective of party, know less about the economy than the average McDonald's manager. McCain is the first candidate I will vote FOR since "The Great Communicator"), but I'm not convinced his election will help the bond market and it could hurt it. (I voted AGAINST that s***bag Clinton, since we weren't given much to choose from.) Only a major "dislocation" in the stock market is likely to lead to lower rates. IMHOFWIW
