Bill I also favor McCain, seems to me more talented than the all others even that I also like Bradly. Gore was to much influence by his master and is by now badly spoiled.

As to the market in general I think your friend Rubin convinced the politicians all over the world that the stock market can be used as a political toll.

Bill, i may add to that that a major downturn in the stock market would also enhance McCain's chances at winning office quite a bit(assuming he gets the nomination...since Bush has the party leadership lined up behind him he is still a formidable contender). Gore as everybody knows is the most wooden inventor of the internet one could possibly imagine. he can't help being tainted by Clintons escapades, even though he kept a low profile whenever same erupted. his strong point is the continuing stock market mania and the whole crack-up boom that goes along with it. he projects boom continuation as his strongest point. IF the stock market stays aloft, Bush would be better suited as his opponent - wealthy businessmen conceivably can also be associated with a continuation of the boom in the voters mind. however, in case of a major denouement in the market , McCains qualities of honesty, integrity and straightforwardness coupled with a spotless military record will be sought after, as a symbol of renewal. JMHO, looking at American politics from afar.
