If what I just read about McCain is True, we're going backward, if he's elected...or as DannyQ. said once, "...passed, to the Back!".

"McCains qualities of honesty, integrity and straightforwardness coupled with a spotless military record will be sought after, as a symbol of renewal." ...and arrogance.

He's quite flippant about Deception.

I agree. I also think most voters prefer McCain's less aggressive tax cuts, as endorsed by Easy Al himself.

I think a lot of you have short memories. I do not. McCain if I recall was part of the Comittee charged with oversight of the banks and were largely to blame for the costliest boondogle that I can recall, costing taxpayers over $100 Billion. None of those guys even had the decency to admit their incompetence and resign from the committee. So much for integrity. Bonus points for wife dumping? The incompetencies of Gore, Bradley, Bush all pale in comparison.

GW is the man for the south, the midwest, and the right. He will easily defeat McCain, and barring a major GOP screw up,will be the next US president. Come on, it's best to be on the winner's bandwagon early. <g>
