Cheap is right Walter. Wait til they drop the the click a few times.

Moving parts = breakable

The click cartridge may be inexpensive, but it's much more breakable than a CF.

Walter and Thread,

Another market for SanDisk is the growing interest in GPS devices. Moving this technology to mobile phones or intelligent handheld devices seems like the next obvious move...

When paired with the MetroGuide U.S.A. CD-ROM, the eMap has the ability to look up address and telephone number information for nearby services and points of interest. The eMAP will store 8 or 16 megabytes of downloaded CD-ROM information at a time depending on the size of the cartridge you use in the unit.

I contacted customer service and learned the following about the memory modules...

"At this point in time Garmin memory cards will remain proprietary. The two sizes available are 16MB and 8 MB. They cost $150.00 and $100.00, respectively."
