Citibank ties up with online cos for e-shopping

CITIBANK, on Tuesday, announced the launch of Citibank e-Shopping at its website ? www.citibank.com/india . The facility will offer customers an online shopping environment where their payments will be protected through the bank?s secure payment network.

Citibank has tied up with three merchant websites - satyamonline.com, rediff.com and fabmart.com - which offer on-line shopping facilities. Citibank customers will have the option of shopping on any of these sites for products ranging from music, books and clothing to toys and treadmills.

"With the internet fast becoming an integral part of everyday life, there is a growing demand for services that offer security and convenience for on-line payments. Recognising the urgency of this need, we have drawn on our extensive financial expertise and superior internet banking technology to make on-line payments safe anbd secure," said Nanoo Pamnani, CEO, Citbank (India), while announcing the launch.

The e-shopping facility is available to all Citibank customers - Citibank account customers as well as Suvidha customers. To make a payment on-line, customers will requires an H-PIN (home banking personal identification number) which is their internet banking password. Citibank credit card customers or Diners Club card members can also shop with their cards.
