<<Oh, so this is completely different from one of those little satellite dishes? >>

Sorry for being late, some house keeping to take care of.

Little dishes, we call them pizza dishes. They lock in on one satellite and you buy your programming from one of two companies which are both owned by the same entity.

My dish is a 7 footer that roams the sky and grabs which ever satellite. 124 channels per satellite. Dozens of providers keep the cost down plus lots of free stuff. Back in 19 and 85 it was all free as the satellites provided to cable and the cable operators paid the programmers. That was fun. Roam the skies and bink.. a classified military document, bink and XXX porn, bink and HBO. Never knew what was coming up next.

<<Oh, so this is completely different from one of those little satellite dishes? Of course, it depends on how many premium channels you would subscribe to. If you get 'em all, I guess you are right.......>>

Mucho different. Little dish receives from one satellite which maxes out at 24 analog channels and 100 digital channels. I get a gazillion, well maybe 25 satellites, with analog, digital and HD TV.
