She also was off by an order of magnitude about starefire reliability and the reliability of SUNW platforms in general...

Well SOMEBODY is buying this crap!! <g>

She also does not appear to know that there are currently 10 times as many VMS systems running mission critical systems as Starfires...

Did you know that Sun is now the #1 (number one) server vendor? Nobody is replacing Mainframe VMS systems faster than Sun, apparently.

I have little tolerance for people who make gross errors of fact...

Well, a lot of time it's just a matter of perspective. Surely NT is good for SOMETHING. You'll need to excuse the sceptics though, rudedog. <g>

BTW, a real eye opening book for me (and maybe you're familiar with it) was "Unix Philosophy" by Mike Gancarz from Digital. If you're not familiar with it, you should pick up a copy. It's thin but very worthwhile.

Also, noting that you have both a Linux client and a Solaris client, do you find Solaris with Motif, etc to make a better desktop browser client than Linux? (just curious)
