NITE SECURITES IS A SCAM! The following is what happened to me today while trading, and yes I know these are BB stocks...

$3 BB stock TEXN, placed sell, filled 2000 in 20 seconds at 3. 1 minute later place another sell, 2000 at market at $3...I fill at $2! 15 minutes later! Try to rebuy at market at 1.56...fill at $2.125. ALL NITE holding orders. On the way DOWN, NITE was crossing up the stock by lowering his ASK forcing other Market Makers to drop the bids, when they did, he dropped the ASK again to force them lower, all this time not filling a share.

USDI: Placed a 10k buy at Market, stock .62 x .625, filled in 10 seconds at .625. 30 seconds later placed several orders for USDI at market...NONE FILLED. Tells me SHARES AHEAD so the orders EXPIRED. THis was at 3:30 PM today, 30 minutes prior to the close. Stock closes at .76 on 9 million shares traded. THis is an outrage. I fill one order in 30 seconds, then one placed 1 minute later does not fill in 30 minutes. My broker tells me they have 50 market orders unfilled all on USDI from 3:30 on, ALL NITE. The whole time UP NITE was on the BID buying for himself.

The SEC will see this, as I am filing a complaint. ITs outrageous the way NITE is handling these orders, and I am sick of hearing the BB STOCK bull. They are STOCKS that TRADE and NITE MAKES A MARKET. If they dont want to fill, DONT MAKE A DAMN MARKET. They only fill an order when its to their benefit, not a way to do a job making markets liquid. I should not have to wait 2 hours to fill a market order on a sell and of course fill the LOW...its a LIE if they say shares ahead, cause this means NO SHARES AFTER ME AT ALL. Total BS.

I urge all who get screwed by NITE to complain to your broker/SEC about this.

My model for NITE is as follows.

2/14/00 1Q00 Rev 324.175 EPS $0.62
2/14/00 2Q00 Rev 299.650 EPS $0.54
2/14/00 3Q00 Rev 260.587 EPS $0.47

The model is very dynamic and depends heavily on Market volumes and Market share.

Based on Jefferis eps estimate and price of $34 gives a p/e of 12.9 for 2000 eps. Pretty good value at these levels.

Susan, et al: Following is the link for today's comments from Jeffries & Co, in which they:

1) Reiterated their BUY rating, and

2) Maintained $74 target price (that's more than a 100% increase from today's close). One would think that would ordinarily warrant a STRONG BUY, but, as we know, merely issuing a BUY gives Jeffries headroom to make further upgrades so their clients can eventually sell into strength at higher prices).

3) RAISED Y2000 EPS estimate by 45 cents/share from $2.19 to $2.64. (This is a 20% EPS increase!). Note also this is just 3 weeks after Jeffries raised Y2000 EPS estimates from $1.82 to $2.19 on January 20th! One would think that is indicative of a rapidly accelerating earnings picture.

As Art Hogan said today on CNBC that Knight-Trimark MUST be doing well with NASDAQ daily trading volume consistently well in excess of 1 billion shares, so it behooves analysts to consider forward estimate revisions.

companysleuth.lycos.com

Based on Jeffries' revised EPS estimates, following is a forward PE estimate based on today's close of $34.375:

$34.375/$2.64 = Forward PE of 13

Considering NITE's expected earnings growth rate--whether or not NITE is lumped in with the financial sector--NITE WILL command a higher PE if the company continues to grow earnings. The average financial sector stock just doesn't have the growth rate that NITE does.

As various articles have already mentioned, NITE has been taken down to the low $30's underservedly due to Amy Butte's misinformed comments and the AMTD mention they will sell (and may have already sold by now) some NITE shares.

Consider it a gift.
