I don't consider that slimy.

If they had claimed 3Ghz as Mhz of the chip then that would have been slimy.

Thank you for pointing this out, i.e., what was REALLY claimed.

BTW, I have only heard rumors as to what functional blocks run at what speed. I have only heard of respective units running "faster" than the base speed. I haven't heard anything about functional blocks running slower than the base clock frequency, in this case, 1.5.

That said, I am sorely lacking in detail, as it appears the rest of the World + dog is also. I submit when speculating on this stuff we are all in a way out wild world.

I am hoping Anand will be able to sleuth out some more details before the end of the show, and subsequently get's us out of the speculative realm.
