Notes on an extraordinary day and LTAB changes!!!!

Superlatives escape me...

siliconinvestor.com

Up the day 15.1% to $730K. Overall performance is better as you recall there are some unpriced positions. So up 630% since 9/1/99, with the best position being up 2100% (IMMU). Nice pops in MAGN, AICX (88%!) IMMU, TGEN, KDUS, just about everything.

Damn.

(Note to micro-selector; great job on BSDM- no problem bringing stuff to the thread, but explain the deal don't just pump it. 500%, yeah super. Last position I added to SW, VYSI is up 500% exactly too, but I explained WHY I added it to SW not just pumped it. )

Now before fear and loathing and selling sets in, my opinion on where biotech is going. Please fee free to loudly disagree!

1. We have not seen the end of both value and speculative investing. The money that has come in I believe is mostly day trading and light mutual fund stuff. The general public has not even shown up yet except in a few issues. Biotech IS A THIN MARKET! Although I am sorely tempted to SELL like crazy, SW 2000, which has not been traded since 12/31/99 shows better performance by just holding. It's tough, but I plan to Buy and HOLD for now.

2. The general public will show up in the form of mutual funds. Not everybody will want to try and figure out the meaning of clincial data. Most analysts don't know how either. Things will get pretty speculative. Momo players will rule both long and short. Not a good place to be out. Funds will invest in only stuff over 500MM cap. Some of our favorites will be left out. Others are no longer "beneath their contempt".

3. Normally this signals the waning days of a rally. BUT I also believe that pharma and 1st tiers have not yet come in to make their purchases. A little M&A and the place will go nuts. Not every POS will get bought- stick with companies that have quality pipelines and prospects and are cheap realtive to value. Again, momo players will expand this to other issues. Should be a wild time, not for the faint of heart.

4. There will be other sectors that are related to biotech that will heat up. But I ain't talking about this just yet. I'll discuss when it's time. For the moment, public portions of this includes foreign stocks including Canada which I have talked about.

So that's where I'm heading with Small Wonders as a general approach. Objective is to make a million in less than a year. Can we do it?

ALSO I PLAN TO CHANGE THE CHARTER OF BIOTECH FOR LESS THAN A BUCK TO LESS THAN 10 BUCKS (LT10B). Not much left under a buck (some, but there are many more and some better prospects in the 2-10 range). I hope not to have to go to LT100B!

You, LTAB followers are my Board of Directors, and should let me know if this is acceptable. Feel free to air your rants hopes and fears, just don't pump.
