Andrew--- In all fairness I have heard MC do great while speaking,, needles to say that was not his most recent presentations.
<<"Why can't Capellas find and
appoint a new CFO?">> IMO there are two reasons considering cpq requires a very good experienced cfo: the first reason is no one wants to work for a company perceived as cpq is,, Unless the options come without any cost there is little benefit and secondly any one with that good of a rep would feel MC should be working for them,not vise versa.
<<"when a figurehead who's "golden" and can unlock all the company's value is selected to replace MC. ">> This will not happen for a long time,, if ever. Ben will not readily admit to making a mistake on MC and no one would take the job before why would they now??????

Andrew;

Capellas doesn't and cannot appoint the cfo. He will undoubtedly initially interview and make a recommendtion to the board of directors who will then conduct their own interview. Or the board of directors may cut capellas out of the equation entirely and instead interview candidates merely screened but not interviewed by capellas. I don't know how they're handling it. In any event, as a matter of law, the decision for that position belongs to the board of directors not capellas.

>>>>> replace MC<<<<< I think that everyone on the thread would have a much better outlook and feel a lot better about the stock, Capellas, and the company in general if we replaced Captain Jack! jajajaja El

I did not see the NBR interview, but I have seen several others. MC is head and shoulders above CPQ's previous CEO in the charisma department. MC is the right guy. In my opinion he is saying all the right things. I just have to believe that he is also doing all the right things as well. We will be rewarded with a higher stock price in the long run. It is not going to happen over night. It is just going to take time to fix all the problems the previous management created.
