<<You flatter yourself Morgan. Jan 26 was the turning point from this most recent decline, not Feb 14. You were full of negative posts about KP at that time, while the rest of us were trying to tell you to focus on the fundamentals.>>

Oh I see, Jan 26. The day the stock was at 32 1/4, 31 5/16, 29 1/2 and ended up closing at 30 3/4? You mean, one should have gotten in at, say, 29 3/4 that very day? Oh yes, you'd have gained a whole bunch considering that on subsequent days, the stock saw numbers like 30 1/8, and weeks later still hit 31 1/16 (just this Monday). So what exactly did one get by getting in Jan 29, rather than Feb 14? On a closing basis, 30 3/4 (Jan 26), and 31 1/2 (Feb 14) - a grand 3/4 of a point for almost 3 weeks in the market. Do you know what happened in the market in the meantime? Have you watched some REAL tech stock gainers, not to mention all other kinds of momentum plays? You would propose that one tie up capital for 3 weeks, to gain 3/4 of a point in this bull market? Hmmmmm. You call a turnaround on Jan 26? Yep, some kind of turnaround - from 30 3/4 to 35 5/8 and back down to 31 1/2. Nice round trip from that "turnaround" - now I see how you are using that term. I prefer to use the money otherwise during those weeks, and use profitably instead of going in circles "round and round" cube-style turnaround. I think it makes much more sense to go for a trade Feb 14/15, (on either day you could get in below 32).

<<You were full of negative posts about KP at that time, while the rest of us were trying to tell you to focus on the fundamentals.>>

I may write negative posts about KP, whether the stock is up, down, or sideways. If I see disastrous mistakes being made, I criticize - regardless of price. I know that's not fashionable - the usual thing is to see no wrong in a CEO, as long as the price is high.

As to fundamentals - sorry, that won't wash. The FACTS are: I very explicitly defended NITE's fundamentals, and in fact, I was the FIRST poster on this board to do a detailed rebuttal of Amy BearButt's hatchet job, and I did it using NITE fundamentals (post #7006):

Note that therein, I also said some very flattering things about KP:

<<I may have many objections to KP - but I know he is brilliant businessman, and if anyone can pull it off, he can. I'd bet on him.>>

This was on Jan 26 - a very negative day for NITE. The difference is that I try to see a BALANCED picture of the stock, the company, and the CEO. So, you are plain, flat-out wrong, to say that on that day, everyone was urging me to focus on fundamentals while I was only negative on KP. You show me, who else that day did as *detailed* a defense of NITE fundamentals in response to Amy B that day! In fact I was early enough so that I had to complain that the usual longs were silent, and I, the ostensible "critic", had to defend NITE. I certainly had misgivings about the *short-term*, and I emphasized repeatedly SHORT term - but long term, I never wavered - not on even the most "negative" days.

Jan 26, was not a turnaround day. It was a very damaging day. A day on which NITE declined almost 10%, for utterly nonsensical, idiotic reasons. Read the press - even KP was appalled and frustrated by that report. No way, shape, or form, was that good - it damaged confidence, it unnecessarily depressed the stock, and set it back by weeks. The damage still reverberates. I assure you, NITE stock would have been a lot better off without that day. By all TA work, NITE was bottoming out at around 33-34. Were it not for the unexpected and unpredictable Amy BearButt report, NITE would have never broken 30. I certainly was furious with her, and denounced her in the strongest terms that day.

You are right, brevity is the soul of wit. I'm also reminded of another saying: it is easier to tear down than to build up. Its a relatively simple thing to throw out a brief (even if not witty) inaccurate claim. Unfortunately, it takes a long and detailed response to correct that inaccuracy. I see why you like to keep things brief - as they say, easier to tear down than build up. My apologies for the lack of wit in my post.

As for flattering, somehow I much prefer to flatter you. I already flattered you for your brief witty contributions to this board, which stand in such splendid contrast to my own clumsy and unworthy efforts. In view of your last post, I can now I can add more flattery. You sir, are possessed of insight and accuracy of recollection unrivalled by a mere mortal like myself.

I can see why you initiated these attacks against me. You must enjoy the way I flatter you. Well, keep 'em coming, because I am sure to flatter you more every time you post to me. It is only natural that people like to be flattered, and you certainly are a glutton for flattery. I won't disappoint you.
