rather than outdated, I would suggest that P&F is used for a different kind of trading and investing. It can be great for determining major support and resistance points as well as big moves. P&F by itself does not try to call the bottom or top, just the middle 60 to 80% of a stock movement. I use other forms of TA to fine tune my entry and exit points.
