IMHO, DCLK will not kill their golden goose. They are cooperating with the FTC and I am confident that they will not force the issue of matching people's names/addresses to their unique web surfer tracking numbers. I believe strongly there will be some kind of explicit consent by users to permit this.
Their business model and market share has been, and continues to be, extremely attractive. Their acquisition of Abacus for their database of people data will be profitable to DCLK at the same time they give the basic assurance that people's privacy will not be invaded upon.
