I ran a comparative chart for UPR, OEI and XTO, the results are interesting (XTO is only a 1/4 of the size of UPR and OEI, but it is showing the same action).

siliconinvestor.com

Is OEI getting ahead of itself based on it's GOM and Ivory Coast discoveries or is UPR just now starting to catch up. XTO should start moving any time. Plenty of laggards to role money into.

Looking for $9 1/2 re-entry for OEI tomorrow or Friday.

Regards,

JQP, talking about making dumb statements--

I'm getting tired of hearing from the media and now the politicians about how devastating $30/bl oil is without giving an accurate background of the other side of this coin. I can't go to Houston or Norway to do the deals, but I do follow this thread and sometimes feel the need to speak up concerning the oil business. I sent the following note to Rep. Sherwood from PA who decided to get vocal today about high prices, and a similar note to some of the major news organizations:

Concerning high oil prices: Where was your mouth and wagging finger about oil prices when oil was $11/bl and there were many thousands of individuals who lost their jobs because oil exploration/production/drilling companies were going nearly bankrupt from the loss of revenue and corresponding capital expenditures. The oil industry is always hammered during the "boom" times but never appreciated during the "bust" times.

To jump in front of the cameras and righteously demand that something be done about $30/bl because it is threatening the people who depend on heating oil when you didn't get very concerned while $11/bl oil threatened many workers throughout the Gulf states and around other parts of the U.S. is not right. Yeah, I know, you're representing the 10th District people. You're also supposed to be an intelligent American in a position of leadership and influence, and your apparent disregard for other people outside your District is just wrong. Our strategic reserves of oil are for purposes of national defense and security, not for politicians to use to curry favor with voters. I hope you will begin to see a broader America where workers in the oil and natural gas industry are just as important as voters in your District."

I know I probably wasted my time writing to the media and a politician's office, but the keyboard is easy.
