DCF,

I should have phrased that differently. I did not mean the comments were funny, but rather that Bush did not really understand the question.

Bush took a stand that he "knew" those dudes were guilty in his state and deserved to die. The whole point of the question was the issue of doubt in light of the recent statements from IL. I just don't think he got it.

Also, Bush was barking and not very well. Shrubby will not win a debate with Gore. Five years ago I would have bet you money that I would have never made a statement like this regarding Gore. Gore has gotten some charm school action going. He must have a great coach. Remember that Gore just SMOKED one of my favorite Republicans in the 96 race. That would be Jack Kemp. Kemp could not connect and I think Bush will have the same problems.

I agree with many here that Bush is not the brightest of the bunch. I don't see as much of his dad in him as I would like. Bush does not ad lib well. His responses are too canned, and if the question falls outside the bounds of his prep he is lost. I don't see this guy as fast on his feet. He is/might be a great gov, but I don't see him leading the country.

I, and most here, will get the biggest tax cut from Bush. I can live without it. I agree with McCain that we need some balance and the focus of the surplus has many targets. Would I like the 6% that Bush would save me? You bet, but I don't need it.

Lets toss out the projections for Saturday. Keyes gets 4%, McCain wins over Bush by 6%.

There is nothing funny about executions.

Good Luck
