From this mornings IBD, p. B10 nasdaq stocks in the news. Novell moved out of a narrow 6 1/2-week consolidation to a closing high on heavy volume. The stock is 3% off its Dec. 30 intraday peak of 42 7/16. The RS line already is at a new high, a bullish sign. Novell is a leading provider of networking software. In years past, the Provo, Utah-based company faced serious problems when Microsoft moved into its turf. But the company's fortunes have rebounded. October fourth-quarter earnings climbed 42% to 17 cents a share. Novell reports fiscal first-quarter net today.
