Hi Temple, I kind of like these comments in italics
below on the spoos in terms of some upside levels
that we need to take out to move higher.

A break of tuesday's low of 1381 would mean a look at the 1360 area I would imagine.
below that 1320-25??

I think we need to think of a complex trading range for the next few weeks.

John

Due to Globex
1406.40 high, sp will now need a move over 1407.50 to retest last Friday's
3rd hr 1417 high which it has previously tested this past Tuesday with a spike
to 1414.50.
Despite all its intraday volatility, sp is getting nowhere. Still
use a close above last Thursday's 1429.50 high as positive. Closing above this
level would mean sp was able to overcome last Friday's 1422 high and Globex
1426.20 high. Unless sp is able to overcome all these levels with a close over
1429.50, sp remains in defensive mode and vulnerable to lower prices.
Close
above 1429.50 would target the very tough resistance 1448-1450 which sp tested
and failed last week. Internal negative divergences continue to build up. Use
1390-1395 as support.

if 1405.00 shows real resistance, then we push the basement button and go down to fill the Cash S&P gaps from last October.

Great call, Temple!

I see the gaps you are speaking of on this chart:

siliconinvestor.com

But, notice the DJIA gaps in the same time period have already been filled.

What do you make of that???

Best wishes,

Hi Temple,

I'd appreciate your analysis of where we go from here!

On the one hand we are due a rally on the spoos -- but on the other hand, I hear various technicians suggesting that Friday's action has caused enough damage that more downside is a given.
