I think that Willamette will be a problem for AMD long term. The last few days have cleared up my near term concerns, (except for the FUD effect.)

Scumbria, do you mean by long term, well into 2001 as the chip reaches maturity?

While Willamette's design looks to be advanced, is it not possible for AMD's upgraded property to provide effective competition?

Intel has definitely raised the bar but it would appear AMD has sufficient time to meet that bar and raise it further.
