See. This is the sort of situation that worries me. Happened however many months ago it was that AMAT went to $100+ before dropping down to $66 for a split. It's just my inbuilt desire to disassociate myself with what other people are clamoring toward I guess, and my guess is that people are clamoring to this stock right now.

So is this a repeat of that situation? A nice-looking-yet-crazy runup to a high price and then a drop before the split? As ever, I'm just sucking all of my investment education from this thread.... Just wanting to know..

Take care all,
-Tom

BK,

Re: This stock is a Monster, Animal......I am at a loss to describe with words what exactly AMAT is.

Eases the Asian Flu pain. :))

Congrats to all the diehard AMAT'ers who suffered thru the post-split drop and been broadsided by the Asian debacle... and had the guts to reload at 27 to 33 during the iffy times... yourself, GM, Paul V, Tito, BB, Ian, Jeff D., etc. I bought and held. We were all wrong on our predictions but what a way to be wrong!!!

I still got mine and holding steadfastly...

Regards and best wishes to all,
SF
