Oh, I agree...diversification in Fiber/communicatons is hardly deworsification at all. As was the case for having everything in DELL, for many(you, I think), diversification in Fiber should prove to be a rich "egg basket."
I'm sure you are quite happy already.

This is not correct. TERN is a play on bringing CDMA technology (S-CDMA specifically) to cable and wire (I guess via its DSL purchase). Gilder loves CDMA as his long-time and unwavering support of Qualcomm is evidence of. With TERN, it is another form of CDMA, only for wires.

P.S. Re: QCOM, I believe looking back five years form now you will see that today's price was quite undervalued; i.e., it is not too late to be part of the QCOM story IMHO.
