Looks like we are at 101 on the bid in after hours trading. But, no ..... haven't heard anything besides the Cramer article I posted. Tonight or tomorrow sure would be a great time to announce settlement, though. Really catch the shorts by surprise!

Bloomberg Television Anchor - Dylan Ratigan Breaks Microsoft Story

Bill Gates Says Microsoft Would Open Windows Code to Settle Case

February 17, 2000 06:09 PM Eastern Time
NEW YORK, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In an interview today with Bloomberg Television Anchor Dylan Ratigan, Bill Gates, stated that, "Microsoft Corp. would be willing to open the source code for its Windows software to competitors in order to settle the antitrust case filed by the U.S. Department of Justice."

Microsoft is seeking a settlement with the Justice Department and 19 states that have filed an antitrust suit against the software giant and would "do our absolute best to achieve it," Gates said in an interview.

Gates said he would agree to open the source code for the company's Windows operating system as part of a settlement, a move that would allow competitors to create and sell their own modified versions of Windows.

It is a steal at this price, IMHO

I agree with you, and hope you're right. I added 30% to my long position at $98 yesterday. I sold some INTC to do it, so here's hoping MSFT has more of a move in store than INTC.

This is my speculative %age of my IRA. My core holding is a long MSFT position.

It's interesting that I see great big MSFT as having some huge potential gains in store for the next 30-60 days. Then, back to steady core performance..

You've been a good judge of MSFT opportunities in the past, t2, and I think you are correct yet again.

Best of luck.

Jack
