Hot dog, Roger!

Wait!... I've got to go strap on mah diggin' irons <gg>.

Well, mostly unrelated but of (morbid) interest is this link I can across while researching CTI (y'all rush out and buy a bunch a CTI, y'hear? Mah babies need their colluge educashuns! <gg>)
cryonics.com

Sorry, that's the best I can do until the coffee kicks in.

I don't think patents are an obstacle for any of these SC companies. Someone (T, Houston?) has a patent on the material, if I remember correctly, but that won't slow anyone down. Someone also has a patent on Ag and/or Au contacts to YBCO if you can believe that. To that best of my limited knowledge no one has a global patent on using SCs for filters. Watch out, it's a free for all. <gg>

User pragmatism (thanks Moore! <g>) is the main obstacle now. Economics and reliability. All these field trials should take care of the latter uncertainty. Then it's a bean-counter equation <g>.
