Well, MSFT may deny it, but Gates still said it (Bloomberg has the actual interview on its system), and he's still a pretty prominent figure at the company. The story that I read has Bloomberg saying that they don't have a recording of it because it occurred after the interview. FWIU, during the interview he said gave a hem-haw "No." Therefore it's a he said she said pissing contest between the world's largest company & richest man vs those who buy ink by the barrel. Neither's ego will permit them to back down.
