OT...I've only been playing this game for about 6 months..when I first started, seems like holding for more than a week was out of the question.

maybe Jim and gang are starting to really find companies with substance, instead of just momo plays. Of the 17 positions I have, I honestly consider 14 of them to be really cool companies with really cool burgening products and technolgies, and deem them worth of long-term holds..

just mho...

NEWS...The Wall Street Transcript Publishes Healthcare Facilities Analyst Interview
PR Newswire - February 18, 2000 08:46

NEW YORK, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven leading analysts and CEOs or top management from sixty Healthcare firms examine the Healthcare sector in the latest issue of The Wall Street Transcript (212/952-7433) or twst.com

In a vital review of this sector for investors and industry professionals, this valuable 223-page Special Issue features:

1) Healthcare Facilities - In an in-depth Analyst Interview (7,500 words) Howard Capek, Executive Director with Warburg Dillon Read, and Matt Ripperger, Director with Warburg Dillon Read's Healthcare research group, examine the business models of long term care companies, new developments, the outlook for the sector, and offer specific stock recommendations.

Capek discusses the components of the sector which include "Acute care hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and rehabilitation, all of which include inpatient and outpatient long-term care or skilled nursing; senior living, which as we define it, includes assisted and independent living; and finally, home healthcare."

Capek rates the publicly traded players in the kidney dialysis space: "Fresenius Medical Care AG (NYSE: FMS), which I have rated Buy, is a global, vertically integrated company that treats roughly 25% of the US population and 8% of the worldwide population. They also manufacture a kidney dialysis product and have, again, roughly 20% market share worldwide."

FMS and FSMEP are the same company, this is simply the prefered class D Stock.

Next week should be very interesting!

yes, longs have been the big winners on lots of these pennies for a while now, leaving the daytraders behind. I think a few things are happening. The whole small cap/micro cap sector has been hot, nasdaq and otc. The otc now has fewer issues with all the delisting of the non-reporting companies. But the remaining reporting companies are gaining credibility it seems. Also, there is a lot of capital available right now, for these small companies to put deals together. So it seems like more deals, of more substance are happening everywhere with the OTC bbs. Not to mention the amount of capital in the market right now from investors willing to speculate on them...
Seems like this may be lasting a while longer. The internet related big caps with huge debt, and miniscule revenues relative to their market caps are making lots of the micros look pretty good right now.
IMO anyway.

<Where do ya put all of these 2-5-10-20 baggers?>

LOL, as you well know, and I'll only mention two here, KAHI and TEXN...like you, I got bored, scalped them, and most generously, and unselfishly, left the big gains....for others more deserving. <weep>

<Thoughts????> See some of my other posts, right now, I'm more concerned with nursing a young scotch, and checking out the various parts of my body, that hurt, or sting from that silly blue ball, or are gonna hurt, big time, tomorrow.

My buddy and I hadn't played racquetball for a while, so we both tired early, and it became full contact, body slamming, whack him in the back (or flush in the ear in my case) some kinda murder ball.

Have fun, whacking that little, white, dimpled one around.
