People are scary with or without America. A lot of people think America is scary. This is something that many of the more innocent Americans cannot comprehend; to their Hollywood-conditioned eyes we are the eternal Good Guys in the White Hats, to be feared only by Evil. What they don't realize is that people would be afraid of us even if every child, woman, and man of us walked about wreathed in a halo. They find the concentration of military and economic power in a single nation frightening in itself.
