>>American history is replete with stories of greatness that started from disadvantaged beginnings.<<

william, you know most rich folks were born that way.

you know most poor folks were born that way.

think in terms of a normal curve. using an over achieving "outlier" to prove the distribution mean can move (achieve) to the outlier level would get you laughed out of statistics 101.

yet, that is what you do with an apparent straight face. you use the term "replete" to describe a relatively rare occurrence - and i'm defining greatness extremely loosely. what would you use to describe the other 90%if "replete" is used to describe the 10%?

bill gates born in south central = microsoft? NOT! we know bill was "smart" and chose to be born in a good neighborhood to attorney parents that could afford private school, right?

william, there are neighborhoods you wouldn't even walk in yet 4 year olds play there daily.

yes, but ALL those 4 year olds can be JUST LIKE OPRAH, right? every one, right? :-(

Everyone is different, but they follow their star. They go for it. Maybe grinder is a musician,
maybe a painter, maybe an athlete. Maybe he likes capitalizing on progress like the bulls here
(and the venture capitalists) do. American history is replete with stories of greatness that
started from disadvantaged beginnings.

William,

Let's have everyone reinvent themsleves. We will have no tool grinders. How do you think you are going to find an automobile to buy or a computer for that matter? No tools and parts no products.
