mr. mark--Well, I'm back with another problem. You were great in helping me with the last one and hope you can help me diagnose my current problem.
I am having some problems with some upgrading that I had done. I had 32 RAM and 10 gigabytes of memory added to my Compaq 200 mmx computer.(I originally had 4.3 gigabtyes and was down to about 100MB) I experienced a honeymoon phase in which I was getting faster movement in the computer but gradually started getting lots of freezes. I decided it was time to upgrade my Norton Anti-Virus and Utilities from version 2.0 to Norton System Works 2000 Version 3.0 that I saw reviewed positively on this thread(I think). Well, now I have really been slowed down with all the so-called anti-freeze capabilities which doesn't, BTW, seem to work very well. It makes a big show of appearing that it is going to revive stuff but usually requires an extensive rebooting and then having to put in a reformatted floppy to save data etc.. In other words, my system is working much worse then it was before all this upgrading. BTW, I did uninstall Norton Anti-virus but could not find the Utilities as an independent entry at Add/Remove on the Control Panel so perhaps I did not remove it.

Also, I have gone to System Tools, Drive Space and when I click on Drive and Properties, my Drive C shows up as locked by an application(what does that mean?) When I go to My Computer and check the memory available it still shows only a total of 4.3 gigs and a remaining memory of 47 MB.
Something strange is occurring as you can see. Any comments?
