Lorrie, In my youth I worked for many years in NJ as a tree trimmer. As such we often removed trees in residential areas. These trees were often full of nails and spikes.

Trust me here as I speak from much experience as many times I would hit such steel with the chain saw. Ruined many a chain never hurt the operator!

The broken chain flying around is complete fabrication.....Ridiculious !It just doesn't happen. I have had loose chains jump the track...No big deal stays in the cut....This was made up by loggers and lumber CO.'s to gain sympathy and discredit Earth First.
