Actually, AMD is one and half price drop ahead of Intel if you take out the premiums that Intel enjoys. I wonder what kind of market dynamics in the future that would make these premiums vanish - AMD market size, AMD name recognition, business SKUs, etc.

The current PIII pricing is artificial and is driven by supply limitations so I am not sure if relative pricing comparisons are reasonable. It will probably be March or April before supply/demand come into balance and the pricing comes to more natural levels.
