Doug, in 98 I was not interested in ALA or Europe.
I thought it's recovery would be too slow
( it was, after 6 months it went from 19 to only 24 ) and
above all does not have high enough beta for trading.

........but now.........

Tunica: Yes you are right; ALAs $4 3/8 drop had nothing to do with its proposed NN acquisition.

Incidentally, did not see you on the ALA Board in 98 when it was $19 and we were loading.

Again, Sep16 0r 17, 98 drop was due to earnigs warning not DSC acquisition, which was completed on Sep 6,1998 and announced in June,1998.In june and Sep,6,1998 ALA stock did OK.
I do not see in current condition earning warning from ALA.
