You're right... and I guess probably some women are, too. I'm being guilty of chauvinism. Individual behavior is just that.

Ok--- the yuppie me has come up against the practical me. I went to the Expo place in Dallas this afternoon to look at their decorative tiles. ANd I found this GORGEOUS handpainted group-- about a dozen tiles- that forms a bouquet of roses for above the stove-- and it was 380.00. No way can I justify that. It's more than the tiling job itself. But everything after that was poo.
So I thought well, I just won't GET decorative tiles. I'll put hooks on the white tiles and hang pictures- then I can change them even--- like a a screensaver--- a stovesaver.
But it's not helping. I LOVED those tiles.
Dan is always very indulgent with me, because I don't ask for much, but I think this would strike him as ludicrous. I can't take it with me after all, and a buyer might not even LIKE roses. I should call my friend who rents herself to realtors. She painted her diningroom table gold. That takes guts.
