Get the damn tiles- you'll look at them ever freaking day, they won't wear out- your cost of ownership in them will be VERY low- after a year it will be about 1.00 a day- wouldn't you pay that for those pretty tiles? Wouldn't you? hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Buy them and don't tell Dan how much they cost. Use your own money. Let it be a birthday present to yourself. You're worth it.

You could embed the tiles in a frame and take them with you. Long as they look pro and not attached-tacky. I need a window over the stove and sink, or I am suicidal. A tube curving out to the compost pile, through which to throw things, would be satisfactory though.

But heck, you can use a window for that, too.

<<ANd I found this GORGEOUS handpainted group-- about a dozen tiles- that forms a bouquet of roses for above the stove-- and it was 380.00. No way can I justify that. It's more than the tiling job itself. >>

That's what you bought CYTO for.

It's none of my business, of course, but this bachelor
thinks you should have the rose tiles installed. With
the old line "Ain't Nobody Happy If Mama Ain't Happy"
in mind, rose tiles it's gotta be.

And please apply my pro rata share of the $150 for my
Fannie Flag line toward the purchase ... :)
