Mehrdad:

If COMS did that, I would price the shares at a base P/E or P/S consistent with other networking companies, times a multiple based on COMS demonstrated revenue growth rate. Right now, that growth rate (sans PALM) is zero or slightly negative, hence my low valuation for COMS networking business.

As I've said several times, my prior experience with COMS (and CPQ for that matter) has taught me the folly of "looking for the light at the end of the tunnel". I'd rather wait in broad daylight at the end of the tunnel until the train emerges, then hop on board once I'm sure it's picking up steam. Sure, I may miss out on the first 20% or so of the gain, but I'll gladly let that go and be happy with the next 60%. Meantime, while the likes of EB are struggling to get the train out of reverse, I can be doing something else.
