Advalorem:

The S-1/A is explicit on this, and it's hard to understand where all these odd numbers come from. In round numbers, 530 million PALM shares will be distributed tax free to the holders of 350 million COMS shares, right now approximately 6 months after the 3/2 IPO date, or by 12/1/00 at the latest. That translates into 1.5 PALM for every 1 COMS share you hold on D-Day. With COMS at 69 and the basic COMS business worth around (IMO) $35/share (+/-), you get PALM for about $23, vs its current pricing of $14-16. It'll likely re-price above $20 prior to IPO day, and will trade anywhere from $50 on up. Where PALM will be on D-Day is another matter entirely.

Buy COMS now or forever hold thy peace.
