That long overused stat that 80% of daytraders dont make money is like 80% of Real estate agenst dont make money either - There are a lot of people that go to some little course at swiftrade of one of the 200 similar outfits in the US - They slap down a pile of money and Poof they start trading, well most of em piss it away.

Think of GOLF and a 6 week classrom session on how to play and the take out those people you had in the classroom and plop em on the first tee with nice clubs etc - and they are playing $100 a hole against 3 guys who are srcatch handicappers - that guy lasts a few rounds and he is outta cash - well soon enought 80% of the guys who have playd have lost money.

mopral of the story is twofold -
A. I would say that yes 80% of the people involved in daytrading ina given year are losing but I would also say that 90% of those that have been doing it for a while and have weathered the learning curve are NOT
B.Nothing beats experience and I have sliced more than my fair share in the woods. But A- the coditions are good right now and I am hitting em straigher -after many rounds.

RR, I've got to disagree with you on the "80% of daytrades never make money"
That is certainly not my experience and I'm not a good daytrader - the key is to limit your losses when those day trades do go bad..
