I wonder if GUMM's advertising campaign for their nicotine gum will be as massive as their advertising campaign for Zicam? Just last night I saw a TV ad for Nicotrol nicotine inhalers (there's another one for you Danny). It seems that nearly every night during prime time TV hours I see an ad for nicotrol, nicoderm, nicorette etc. But, I'm sure that 10 million dollar budget that Swedish Match has put up will more than cover the prime time advertising campaign they'll need to compete with these products and blow them out of the water.

As for Zicam, apparently the "media hype, manipulation, free press, word of mouth campaign" has been sufficient to keep the Zicam selling like hot cakes because, so far, I have yet to see even one single advertisement for it of any kind. Of course, I hear that an ad does pop up now and again between 10 am and 4 pm to break up the monotony of the soaps for you stay at home types. That must be who's buying all the Zicam. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
