Zoltan,

My point was not to argue which area had the MOST wealth, but rather to establish that Fieger had done quite well for himself.

As for your statement that the auto industry has lagged for decades, besides being untrue, has little to do with personal income in the region.

Oakland County Michigan has for many years ranked in the top three counties in the country in highest per capital income. The halls at Ford, GM, and Chrysler are filled with guys making 50k a year who are millionaires just from the stock matching plans offered.

My point was that the small area that Fieger lives in represents a very high concentration of this wealth, and that this area (to my knowledge) was the highest per capital area of wealth in the USA.

Certainly there are areas such as Silicon Valley that have many people with great wealth, but I do not think it matches on a per capital basis this very small area in Michigan.

Automotive stocks have lagged compared to the high tech offerings of the Naz, but the earnings for the auto industry and its suppliers are hitting record highs. Your definition of lagged and mine might just be different.

Now I would agree that you have a good point if Bill Gates has a square mile.

When trading is over I will look for the link. The U.S. Census date is only by county and was no help.

Good Trading
