Julie, the guy was loaded down with beach houses. . .meaning he was probably not even liquid. . .so say he's got assets of 10 mil, but is only looking at 10% equity, since he stretches himself out each time he buys a new property. . . the guy would be barely a millionaire in liquid assets. . .and it requires the assumption that real estate will maintain its overinflated value. . .California beach property is priced like genomics biotechs. . .

As for my reference to "girls" on that show. . .I noticed a half dozen of the contestants were 19 years old. I consider adulthood to start at 21. . . and even that like a probationary period until about 25 when we begin to THINK like adults. Probably half those girls were under 25. . . OK OK! . . .half those "young ladies". . . .

The only good I can see coming of all that would be if the woman that married the guy can sell her story to a movie-of-the-week! I'd watch.

Just a reminder about the Marry a Million show--the discussion of which as prodded me out of my lurk mode--if people watch it, it will continue, and it doesn't matter WHY people are watching it, in horror or otherwise. And I believe those European game shows with people on islands, etc, are coming soon to the USA--seems a little like the Romans watching the gladiators. Maybe that's next. . . .
