Sector, Greg, and anyone else who followed CC:

1) What was your prediction for earnings going into today?

2) What was concensus?

3) Were you expecting write-downs for Enterprise LAN Products and do you understand the rationale for taking charge at this time?

4) Did you think Noam was a bit dismissive regarding Greg's request for clarity on spin-off (IPO) schedule?

5) Did you expect more clarity on customer trials for RedC product line?

6) What do you think tone of analysts' was? Several asked where earnings would come from going forward. Were you satisfied with answers?

7) What about the new accounting (mentioned in CC)? Are you comfortable with this?

8) What was the most positive part of CC and what the most negative?

Again, feeling nervous.

Pat

<<Then we should see what reaction analysts have. If they put the proper spin on the positives of the optical news, and play down the charge for exiting the switching business,
the down move may be short lived.>>
sector, in talking with some clients, that's exactly what i explained to them...even though there was disappointment in glossing over a few issues, there was enough excitement from products (at least i was...not vivik rao) that we should see some support in the low to mid 90's (opinion only).
my next message will address some key issues that i'm not sure anyone else has mentioned....
