Yes just fax them and let them OCR it :-)

How about caller ID?

Ascii still works. But how do you send it without publishing your IP?

What about the serial number on a formatted floppy? Can that be traced to the machine? I guess since it is supposed to be unique, it probably does use GUID. You could always buy a preformatted floppy.

Or you can remove your network card. Then the GUID is I guess harder to trace.
